We had a great turnout for the first Wedding Cake and Sparkling Wine tasting Event. This one was at the Chocolate Bar and had four cakes to sample. The three layers were Chocolate Cake with salted caramel and ganache, a genoise w/mocha mousse and ganache and a chocolate/raspberry fudge layer cake. Alongside that cake was a genoise (yellow cake) with hazelnut mousse and ganache.
The wines from Fairview Wines & Spirits wher a Primo Bacio Moscato d'Asti "The First Kiss" and a Cantina di Sorbara Lambrusco di Sorbara that went extremely well with the cakes.
This Saturday, May 19th from 4-6 is the second tasting at Verdigris Tea. No chocolate this time, but lovely cakes (coconut, lemon mousse/raspberry, strawberry/whipped cream and vanilla pistachio). Don't miss it!!!
